Mel C Joins Blended Festival Dubai 2018 Lineup
Permission to Freak Out: An Actual Spice Girl Is Doing a Gig in the Middle East!
If the sight of the Spice Girls' little reunion photo made you weep, prepare yourself for possibly getting up-close-and-personal with one of your childhood idols.
First it was revealed the Backstreet Boys would be headlining in Blended Festival, now Mel C has joined the line up. As well as being Sporty Spice and a West End stage star, the singer has enjoyed years of success as a solo star too. So get ready for her to belt out tracks such as "I Turn to You" and "Never Be the Same Again."
The Dubai Media City Ampitheatre gig on April 20 won't be her first time in the UAE, she played 2012's Beats on the Beach festival in Abu Dhabi and last did a Dubai concert in 2001. UK R&B star Lemar, who found popularity on talent show Fame Academy, will also perform. Tickets to Blended cost AED350 and it's totally worth is to see both legendary 90s pop acts.
Rumors are rife that Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham could be embarking on a reunion tour.
While the group has no plans to record new music, they will reportedly be working on "merchandising opportunities" connected with the tour.
We're still keeping our fingers crossed but if it doesn't happen, at least we have Mel C!
