Lawyer, humanitarian, Met Gala host — Amal Clooney's résumé is long and distinguished. After last weekend's royal wedding (Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married, did you hear?), Amal can add "chicest wedding guest ever" to her list of accolades. She arrived at Windsor Castle looking like actual sunshine in a marigold Stella McCartney ensemble with makeup done by Charlotte Tilbury.
Though her hair was partially covered by a veiled fascinator, Amal still served blowout goals, and her near-waist-length strands are enough to make us take our biotin every night. But it didn't come cheap: we've just learned that her full hair look cost $270 in products alone.
Miguel Perez, artistic stylist at Chelsea-based Salon Sloane, is the man behind Amal's look. He created Amal's glossy, tousled style by first preparing her strands with Hair Rituel by Sisley Smoothing Shampoo ($75). Then he left a Hair Rituel by Sisley Regenerating Hair Mask ($95) on for 10 minutes before adding a few drops of Hair Rituel by Sisley Precious Hair Care Oil ($100) to protect against heat from both his tools and the sun.
When it came time to blow out, Miguel used a small, round brush to create supersoft waves. To do this, he picked up sections of hair that were smaller than the width of his round brush and twisted the strands in varying directions. He made sure to blow-dry the front pieces in the opposite direction of the face, to open things up and complement Amal's Stephen Jones hat. His finishing touch was more drops of the Hair Care Oil before the Clooneys left to attend the wedding of the year.
