No one can say Kim Kardashian didn't commit to the all-gold everything look she wore to the 2018 Met Gala. From her '90s supermodel-esque gilded Versace dress to her bronzed lipstick and matching cheeks, Kim truly did look like she was on her way back from a Goldfinger remake casting call (which she would've aced). But there's committing, and then there's committing, and the mogul truly fell into the latter category. How so? Oh, nothing huge, she just wore gold frickin' contact lenses on the red carpet.

According to Kim's app, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wanted to complement her glamorous dress, so she did what the rest of us plebes would do: made her eyes match the gown. With the help of her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, Kim wrote, she "chose honey-colored contacts that weren't too far off from my natural eye color, just a bit brighter."

Kim went on to write, "We can sometimes achieve this color when I wear a golden eyeliner and the lighting is right, but I wanted to really go for it on the red carpet." It probably helped that Kim opted to do so on one of fashion's most outrageous nights — when you're walking the red carpet next to Rihanna in a pope outfit or Katy Perry wearing death-defying angel wings, it's not so wild to pop in a pair of statement contacts.
