Spoon Cut Crease Eye Shadow Tutorial

Master the Cut Crease Shadow Technique With This Easy Hack

We often spend hours mesmerized by our favorite Instagram makeup artists and their hyperlapsed mini beauty tutorials. We're especially envious of their sultry eye shadow looks, particularly those that use the trendy cut crease technique. Though we completely covet their contoured lids, we must admit: attempting the look is intimidating.

However, an easy hack called the #spooncutcrease makes it simple to achieve double-tap-worthy eye makeup. All that's needed is a plastic spoon. Just cover your eye with the utensil and dust your shadow over it with a blending brush. That's it — really! You'll be left with a crease that's sharply defined, clearly separating the makeup on your lid and brow bone (which is key to achieving a cut crease). To complete your look, finish with a lighter colored shadow and bold liquid liner. Behold: bigger, brighter eyes. Grab a spoon from your last takeout order and watch this 15-second video and prepare to be the queen of the cut crease!
