The color: Soft Blends
The celebrity inspiration: Gigi Hadid
Description: "We are seeing a lot more soft blends," said Zard. She identified this technique as being similar to sombre, ecaille, colormelt, or baby lights. The color is created by blending multiple shades in order to create a natural and fluid hair hue with some contrast. Overall, the color should appear soft and seamless. It can be achieved with foil and/or balayage, or better yet foilayage, which is a combo of both techniques. Ask your colorist for a soft and naturally transitioning color. Think ombré, but without the high-contrast gradation we have come to associate it with.
Who it works for: Zard says this trend works on all skin tones. "This is a low-maintenance color because if it's not being done on your natural base, then the base chosen is only one to two shades within your natural base." This means that it has the ability to last months without an update. Where do we sign up?
