Adel Karam in Netflix Middle East First Original Production

Netflix Just Announced Its First Original Production From the Middle East

From Orange Is the New Black to Stranger Things, the world can't get enough of Netflix's original series. But until now the Middle East hasn't had anything to call its own, so you'll be thrilled to know that about to change very soon. The internet entertainment platform has announced it will debut an original show from the region – cracking up viewers with a comedy special from Adel Karam (watch out Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer!).

The Lebanese funnyman will be making light of typical Arab social issues and relationships during his sarcastic production from Creative Arab Talent, filmed at the Casino du Liban in Beirut.

"I am very happy and excited to be a part of Netflix's first original production to be produced in Middle East. It is a great honor and privilege and I can't wait to embark on this new adventure," The Insult actor said in a statement about the so far unnamed show.

We've see Jack Whitehall, Gad Elmaleh and Beppe Grillo introduced to global audiences through Netflix, now get ready for Adel Karam to take over the comedy world!
