The Starfish Campaign has been fighting to get Coldplay to perform in Egypt for months. Since launching on Facebook earlier this year, the Starfish Campaign is pushing to bring the band to Egypt for their first concert in the Middle East.
"We believe that a concert for Coldplay in Egypt is highly demanded," they write on their page. "And we believe that it will not only attract Egyptian fans but also fans from the Middle East and Europe. Such event can not only fulfill a dream for the Egyptian Coldplay fans but also promote for Egypt and help revive the tourism sector. This will be the first concert for Coldplay in the Middle East."
Now, one artist may have put the finishing touches on their cause.
Graphic designer Abdel Salam (who happens to be Egyptian), put a twist on Coldplay's artwork, and gave it a bit of an Arab touch. Starfish Campaign shared the work on their Facebook page, and the designs are beginning to make the rounds on social media.
Will this kind of fan-art be enough to get the band out to the region? Let's hope so!
