Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Visits Bluewaters Island

Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed Checking Out Bluewaters Island Will Make You So Excited For It to Finally Open

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was snapped on Monday visiting Bluewaters Island, the new man-made development by Meraas Dubai. While Bluewaters Island is still in
development, the large observation wheel under construction at the tip of the JBR neighborhood is already a huge attraction for tourists and residents alike. At a height of over 210 meters, Ain Dubai (Eye Dubai, in Arabic) is going to be the world's largest and tallest observation wheel and that's just one of the attractions at the AED8billion Bluewaters Island.

Aside from the expected residential, retail, dining, hospitality, leisure and entertainment facilities, it will also be home to something very special; one of the legs of Ain Dubai will feature the world's highest rope climbing platform with a height of over 150 meters.

Both hotels on the island give staying guests the chance to enjoy a glorious 450 meters of golden sands that aren't accessible by the general public. One consists of 178 rooms and 96 serviced apartments (great for those who want a longer stay or are traveling in a bigger group) and the other is even bigger, with a whopping 119 serviced apartments and 301 rooms.

Sheikh Mohammed has said that his visit to the site is part of a commitment to ensuring that projects developed in Dubai and the UAE maintain the highest quality, thereby enhancing the country's profile as an investment and tourism destination of
choice.

"We want our country to be known as a land of happiness and hope for both people and visitors, and for all those who have ambitions and dreams," Sheikh Mohammed said. "The projects we see around us today reflect this vision as well as our determination to achieve the highest levels of excellence."

The Ruler of Dubai has always maintained that his vision is for Dubai to excel as a state in everything the country does. This is why it's a place of firsts and world records. As for the happiness bit – that one is already in the bag!
