The Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival was the place to be this past weekend, with a bunch of music legends getting up-close-and-personal with their Middle Eastern fans. Welsh crooner, Tom Jones, kicked things off at Dubai Media City Ampitheatre on Wednesday and Mariah Carey entertained her Lambs on Thursday evening, but no one rocked the crowd like Enrique Iglesias.
The heartthrob has been known to serenade woman on stage at his gigs around the world, but on Friday one lucky guy from Saudi Arabia got to enjoy a duet with the singer. The fan had all eyes on him as "Stand By Me" played to the packed-out venue and Enrique claimed he was the "worst karaoke singer in the world." Of course, the fan took advantage of the surreal moment by posing for a selfie with the headline act. Who wouldn't?
The three-day festival attracted over 37,000 guests in 2017 on its 15th anniversary. Enrique belted out the likes of "Heartbeat," "Be With You," "I like How It Feels," "Bailando," "Esto No Me Gusto" and "Tonight (I'm Loving You)" and "Hero."
Former, The Wanted boy band member, Nathan Sykes, opened the concert for Enrique, and regional talents Rouba Zeidan, Hamdan Abri of Abri and Funk, Layla Kardan and Still Raw took to the stage on previous nights.
