Over the weekend, people around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha, and celebs were no exception.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were just two big names who rang in the holiday, and their moms took to Instagram to document the occasion.
Yolanda Hadid and Trisha Malik both posted photos of themselves with their children acompianied by Eid messages.
Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating," wrote Yolanda. Trisha's post echoed it: "Eid Mubarak to everyone... #BlessedDay."
It's not the first time the Hadid's have celebrated their Muslim roots. Earlier this summer, Bella Hadid was revealed as Vogue Arabia's September issue cover star. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the supermodel appeared on covers in both Arabic and English, and posted about how honored she was to appear on the magazine's first September issue.
Along with a shot of the English-language cover, Bella wrote that she was proud "to represent and cherish my half-Palestinian blood from my father and his strong, loving, wonderful Arab side of my family. This cover is in honor of my teta Khair Hadid, my family, and my Arab/Muslim friends out there..❤️Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of the newest international Vogue and thank you Vogue Arabia for continuing to celebrate and accept all different cultures and customs the way we all should."
Earlier this year, Bella's sister Gigi appeared on Vogue Arabia's inaugural issue, and posted a similar statement about representing her Arab roots.
