The fourth edition of Dubai's Global Gift Gala took place at the Four Seasons Jumeirah Resort on Monday night and stars including Honorary Chair, Eva Longoria, Melanie Griffith (who was honored with a Humanitarian Award) and singer Anastacia turned out on the red carpet. And while the stars looked stunning, it wasn't just about what the likes of Andie MacDowell and Co. were wearing. The famous faces helped raise stacks of cash for various charities and it's no surprise considering the gifts that were being auctioned off.
Sex and the City star, Sarah Jessica Parker, was giving one guest the chance to have a shoe in her next collection named after them. Not only the but they'll get the opportunity to fly to New York for the launch and meet the woman herself. SJP's prize was snapped up for an incredible $17,000. Melanie Griffith went home with a signed Pablo Picasso Book of Drawings and Writings went for $28,000 and a Mr. Brainwash artwork celebrating the life of David Bowie was sold at $25,000.
Audi offered an exclusive Audi R8 along with a once in a lifetime driving course in Europe to learn to drive the R8 at high speeds. It was sold at $180,000. An as far as up-close-and-personal experiences with the stars Eva gave away the chance to join her in Paris in May at the Four Seasons George V, plus celebrity chef, Gary Rhodes one person and 20 of their friends to opportunity to dine with him.
As well as the Emirate, the GGG has editions in London, Paris, Cannes, Marbella, Estepona, Madrid and Ibiza – Victoria Beckham and Ricky Martin also serve as Honorary Chairs.
