Kendrick Lamar "Humble" Music Video

Kendrick Lamar's Music Video For "Humble" Is Powerful For Both Men and Women

Kendrick Lamar is back! The rapper dropped the music video for his first single, "Humble," from his highly anticipated new album on Thursday night. While the song includes lyrics like "Bitch, be humble," Lamar is sending a clear message with the video that he's actually talking to his competitors and letting them know that the real god of rap has returned ("Tell 'em that God comin'"). In addition to dressing up as the pope, Lamar sits at what appears to be a recreation of the Last Supper, rolls around in money, and wears a white suit in a sea of men in black suits. His lyrics also shame Photoshop ("Show me something natural like afro on Richard Pryor / Show me something natural like ass with some stretchmarks") while the video shows women showing off their natural beauty.
