One Direction may not be following up their 2015 Dubai gig anytime soon but as least week can count on Niall Horan. The Irish stud is coming back to the emirate next year, this time to play some golf with his famous friends. The solo artist – who has sold over 70 million records during his musical career so far – will join pal Rory McIlroy for the 29th edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic which takes place at Emirates Golf Club between January 25 and January 28.
He of course won't be taking part in the serious competition, instead he'll join the ProAm on January 24 alongside his friend who has won the tournament twice (2009 and 2015). In the past he's been a caddie for Rory in the Augusta National Par-3 Contest in 2015.
"I'm delighted to confirm my attendance at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in January," Niall says. "It's an incredible event on the European Tour schedule and I am very much looking forward to playing with my pal Rory in the ProAm and attending the Friday night clinic also. Thanks to Omega and Golf in Dubai for the invite, I've not been to Dubai for a while so very much looking forward to returning!"
