Queen Elizabeth II's Favorite Music

Get Down Like Royalty With Queen Elizabeth II's Party Playlist

We're getting to know more and more about Queen Elizabeth II every day, especially since the royal monarch celebrated her 90th birthday in 2016. Her milestone has inspired a handful of parties, tributes, and specials airing overseas, and the latest sheds light on Liz's musical tastes. BBC Radio Two's Our Queen: 90 Musical Years aired in the UK and featured chats with the Queen's friends and family members; her cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, revealed that music has "always been a part of her life," and added, "The Queen is a fantastic dancer. She's got great rhythm."

Eve Pollard, who presents the program, gave a glimpse into the Queen's favorite artists and songs and insists that her taste is "mainstream, no airs and graces," also revealing that she "enjoys a rousing singsong." Now that is something we'd love to see. For fun, we've put together a playlist of Queen Elizabeth II's favorite tracks — while it doesn't include any 2 Chainz or Skrillex, it is a pretty surprising mix.
