American actress Meghan Markle is preparing to go from commoner to royalty this Spring. The Suits star and Prince Harry are set to wed on May 19, and, yes, according to Brides, a spokesman for Kensington Palace confirmed that the couple's wedding will be televised for the entire world to see. While Harry reportedly wants the event to be as low-key as a royal wedding possibly can be, it sounds like royal watchers can expect at least a little extravagance.

"The couple of course wants the day to be a special, celebratory moment for their friends and family," the spokesperson explained. "They also want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too, and are currently working through ideas for how this might be achieved."

2 Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank

Prince Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie will also be taking a trip down the aisle this year. The princess became engaged to her longtime beau, Jack Brooksbank, in January, and the couple are set to marry on Oct. 12.

Princess Eugenie is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and she's currently eighth in line to the throne. Meanwhile, like Markle, Brooksbank is a commoner. He previously worked in the hospitality industry, and it's unclear what he will do after the royal wedding. The couple reportedly met during a ski trip seven years ago and have been dating ever since.

3 Princess Mako and Kei Komuro

Princess Mako is the oldest daughter of Japan's Prince Akishino, and she's making a bold move for love. According to People, Princess Mako has decided to give up her title in order to marry Kei Komuro, a commoner and her college sweetheart. Due to Japanese tradition, Princess Mako will also be considered a commoner once she marries Komuro. However, her walk down the aisle won't be happening for a few years yet. After announcing her engagement, the 26-year-old princess decided she needed a bit more time to process the idea of marriage. As a result, her planned November wedding is now unlikely to happen until 2020.

In a joint statement to CNN, the couple said, "It is because of our immaturity and we just regret it. I wish to think about marriage more deeply and concretely and give sufficient time to prepare our marriage and for after the marriage."

4 Princess Lindy Klim and Adam Ellis

Princess Lindy Klim's uncle is the King of Denpasar, and her late father was a Balinese prince, according to The Daily Mail. Princess Lindy's life is far more down to earth than most members of a monarchy, but she's still a royal — and so are her four kids.

In December, Princess Lindy welcomed her fourth child, Agung Goldie Ellis, into the world. While she has three children from a previous marriage, little Goldie is her first child with her British fiancé, Adam Ellis.

5 Prince Christian and Alessandra de Osma

Technically, Prince Christian of Hanover and Alessandra de Osma are already married, but the couple will hold a second ceremony in de Osma's native Peru on March 16, according to Hello Magazine. The couple officially married last November in a civil ceremony, but they want to have a religious ceremony as well.

Prince Christian is the youngest son of Prince Ernst August of Hanover, while de Osma is affectionately known as "Princess of the Andes." The couple met when Prince Christian visited Peru in 2005, and a friendship was formed. By 2011, they had become an official couple, and now they're a favorite royal pair of both Germany and South America.
