If you've seen Mother! (or at least read spoilers about the allegory) then you already know Darren has a strong passion for the environment. In 2014, he traveled to the Alberta Tar Sands with Michael Brune and Leonardo DiCaprio, and a year later he visited to Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with Keri Russell and several other activists. He is also a board member of the environmental nonprofit organizations, Sierra Club Foundation and The School for Field Studies.
