Ladies, what you are about to read will leave you almost as confused as we are about the whole Jordyn Woods/ Khloé Kardashian saga…
Are you ready? Former One Direction singer, Zayn Malik took to Twitter yesterday to confess his love for… Gigi Hadid.
We're not even kidding. Check out the tweet below:

Now, as someone who has invested a lot of time in their relationship, I'm all sorts of confused. Didn't they break up? Or, were they on a break? I'm usually quite good at keeping tabs on A-list couples, but this I didn't expect, especially since Gigi, who is usually among the first to like his Instagram posts, hasn't in months. In fact, Zayn isn't even following her on Instagram anymore.
If you're new to the magic that is/was (?) Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's relationship, here's a timeline of the pair's romance…
The two were first spotted together in Nov. 2015 – they were photographed leaving Justin Bieber's American Music Awards after-party together. A few days later, US paparazzi caught them holding hands, while leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles.
In January 2016, Malik referred to Gigi as his "good friend", that was until the music video for his hit-tune "Pillowtalk" premiered – it was then evident that they were, in fact, more than that.
That same month, Malik somewhat confirmed the pair's relationship – radio interviewers referred to Gigi as his girlfriend, and he didn't correct them.
In April 2016, the couple did a spread together in Naples for Vogue, in which Zayn is referred to as Gigi's "real-life boyfriend."
In May 2016, they made their red-carpet debut at the prestigious Met Gala.
It all seemed to be going well for the pair, as they were spotted on numerous dates, attended many fashion shows together, and even sparked engagement rumours (my heart jumped out of my chest when I saw those snaps of Gigi wearing a ring on that finger in Jan. 2017…) in the coming months.
The relationship took a turn in March 2018, when the pair announced via Twitter that they had ended their relationship – a sad time for us all…

We weren't in a sad place for too long, though. Just one month later, the duo were spotted looking happy in love in New York City.
That June, Zayn did an interview with GQ Magazine, where he announced that the pair didn't need to confirm their relationship because "they're adults". Fair enough.
The couple celebrated Eid Al-Adha in the UK with Zayn's family that August. Zayn's sister, Waliyha did the honours of warming our hearts with a few snaps from the occasion.
The last bit of happy news from the pair came in October 2018, when Gigi posted a snap of the two, along with the caption: "Flyin' home to be with my happy place."
After that, reports of the second split came flooding in. With insiders close to the pair claiming that they were in different places in their lives and that they needed some time to "breathe away from each other". *Sighs*
I suppose all that's left for us to do now is wait. Either for pictures of the pair together or, for Gigi to profess her love and not delete it just hours later? I'm happy with either, tbh.
