Just a short walk across Green Park is one of the oldest royal residences: St. James' Palace. It was the primary royal residence until Queen Victoria decided to move to Buckingham Palace, and now houses offices. Princess Beatrice and Prince George were christened in the palace's chapel, and Kate Middleton was confirmed there before she got married.
