When she left the show in 2006, Mischa Barton was one of the most recognizable stars from The O.C., but she was never able to re-create the overnight success that she earned when she was on the hit series. She landed a lead role in Ashton Kutcher's short-lived CW show The Beautiful Life: TBL in 2008 and also had a memorable guest stint on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, in which she played a pregnant hooker named Gladys. Barton's fall from grace was mostly due to her rocky personal life, which included a 2007 arrest for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana and a reputation for hanging out with the hard-partying Hollywood crowd. Nearly a year after competing in season 22 of Dancing With the Stars, she was briefly hospitalized for voluntary mental evaluation. She is set to star in The Toybox alongside Denise Richards later this year.
