William and Kate, having left Wales at the end of William's Royal Air Force posting in 2013, decide to base themselves at a country home they're given on the queen's Sandringham estate in Eastern England. After a lengthy renovation, the family happily settles into country life, following royal tradition and spending Christmas there. They also, of course, keep a place in London, occupying a large apartment in Kensington Palace when business takes them to town.
