Rita later clarified the whole ordeal during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! adding that while they were close "it never went to that level." She eventually confronted Nick about the song and he confessed his true feelings. "It was one of those situations," she added. "He never really told me that I think, but regardless we're still friends and I still have a lot of respect for him."
