You Weren’t a Sneakers Girl Until Laying Eyes on This Saudi-Lebanese Duo’s Shoes
Prefer a pair of heels or boots to clumpy trainers? Well, you might change your mind after discovering this set of footwear. Saudi-born Nour Al Tamimiand Lebanese-born Basma Chidiac are the women behind The Nou Project; high top shoes with minimal stitching and lines.
The limited edition items feature a light reflective strip between the sole and the body of the shoes which illuminates under flash. In the name of sustainability, the soles are made from recycled rubber and come in black, white or "nude". Nydia Lilian from Mexico, James Rawson from the UK and Rex Chouk from Saudi Arabia, have teamed up with the ladies – who met at Coachella 2014 – for the first collection of digital image street art.
