How to Relieve Muscle Cramps After Exercising

Who Knew? The Answer to Quickly Soothing Muscle Cramps Might Be in These Balls

We've all suffered from sore muscles and tension in our fascia (the body's connective tissue that holds everything in place in the skeleton). This tension build up restricts us from certain movement and causes pain. Releasing the tension through techniques such as compression and shearing stimulates small receptors that help muscles relax and lengthen, leading to less compression in joints and increased mobility.

I met with Allie McLaughlin who teaches the Roll N' Release class at Piloga Studio in Dubai. This class is a mix of yoga, stretching and rolling using RAD Rounds therapy balls. As someone who is constantly suffering from muscle cramps, I asked her to demonstrate how to release trigger points using the three balls. According to Allie, who created the class, "Adding daily deep tissue release to your sore and tired muscles is beneficial to everyone, not only the fitness community."

A set of three RAD Rounds is AED76 and available online with delivery across the UAE.
