Apple Pie

Ingredients
- FOR THE FILLING:
850g Green apples
2g Ginger powder
2g Nutmeg
2g Cinnamon powder
4g Vanilla essence
80g Castor sugar
25g Brown sugar
13g Cornstarch
1 Lemon zest
50ml Lemon juice
- FOR THE PIE DOUGH:
315g Flour
50g Sugar
10g Salt
272g Butter
22g Milk
Directions
FOR THE FILLING:
- Peel the apples and cut into 8 wedges.
- Mix together all the ingredients and place on a baking tray.
- Bake the apples for 15 minutes at 165 degrees.
FOR THE PIE DOUGH:
Mix all the ingredients together with a hook or paddle.
Shape your dough into the desired mold and blind bake it for 12 minutes at 160 degrees.
After your dough is cooked, place the cooked apples (pie filling) in the pie and cook for a further 10 minutes at 160 degrees.
Allow the pie to cool down before serving it with a nice vanilla ice cream.
