If you're an awards season fan you'll already know that attending ceremonies can be one of the best places to try some of the most delectable food around. Just ask Oscars attendees about the meals they've devoured from Wolfgang Puck! And this year, the BAFTAs are laying on a slap-up meal for celebrities in attendance, one the likes of Casey Affleck, Alan Cumming, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Joaquin Phoenix, and Natalie Portman will certainly appreciate.
The British Academy of Film and Television will be serving tasty vegan bites so those who don't eat animal products won't go hungry.
Stars will get to enjoy a plant-based menu featuring a mixed-grain salad with pickled vegetables, beetroot relish, and pea shoots. There's also a chickpea masala served with a croquette and coriander cress, and dessert in the form of coconut panna cotta with a fresh raspberry and basil salad.
"We're hailing the plant-based menu at this year's BAFTA ceremony as outstanding", says PETA Director Elisa Allen. "Nominees who don't win on the night can still be awarded a gorgeous vegan meal – which is golden for their health, animals, and the environment."
Sir Roger Moore, Sharon Osbourne, Alicia Silverstone, Joaquin Phoenix, Pamela Anderson, Vivienna Westwood and the Vamps' James Mcvey are all famous faces who have supported PETA by saying they'd rather go naked than wear animals.
