Giant Doughnut

Ingredients

  1. For doughnut:
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup buttermilk
    2 eggs
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 cup sprinkles
  1. For glaze:
    2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    2 tablespoons light corn syrup
    2 tablespoons butter, melted
    3 tablespoons milk
    4 tablespoons sprinkles
  1. Special equipment:
    Smooth bundt pan

Directions

  1. To make doughnut: Preheat the oven to 425ºF and grease bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Into a bowl, mix your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Fold in sprinkles and then pour the batter into your pan. Tap lightly to get rid of any air bubbles and then bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. To make glaze: Mix together powdered sugar, light corn syrup, butter, and milk until it forms a glaze. Spread on top of the cooled doughnut and add sprinkles. Enjoy!
