Gourmet Stop Vending Machines in Dubai

Gourmet Food Vending Machines Are Being Rolled Out in Dubai

You may not usually look to vending machine as a first choice for dinner but one company could change all that. Gourmet Stop – a company that supplies fresh meals without human-to-human interaction – has rolled out outlets in Dubai so people can grab a hot or cold dish on the go.

They currently have food dispensing machines in Dubai Outsource City, Dubai Production City and soon Business Bay, DIFC and JAFZA so customers can have healthy and affordable meals in their hands in a matter of seconds (Foodbox, who they have a deal with, serve different meal options from wraps and biriyani to noodles in the price range of AED7 to AED25).
The woman responsible for bringing the Dutch idea to the UAE, Stephanie Khouri, eventually wants to see the machines in hospitals, universities, gas stations and shopping malls.

"Dubai is a fast-paced, multi-cultural city with a prevalent culture of eating out," she says. "But, especially in business districts, people don't always have the time to wait for a table at a restaurant. I don't believe that speed and quality are mutually exclusive so my aim is to make sure that my fellow hard-working residents can have good food on the go without having to compromise on quality or taste."

The company follows strict hygiene regulations when preparing the food for the temperature-controlled compartments, they also use environmentally-friendly materials and donate leftover food to those who need it in the Emirate.

Sounds like a winner all-round!
