You Won't Recognize These Dishes Served At This New Italian...But That's the Fun Part
As tasty and comforting as Italian food can be, indulging the many carbs and sweets the cuisine has to off can sometimes be a little boring on the eyes. But this new offering in Dubai has all it takes to jazz up your Instagram feed. Matto serves up a bunch of dishes the typical Italian grandmother might make but adds a fun twist with some trendy ingredients and fantastic presentation.
Think a variety of flatbreads, fried meatballs and burrata to start, plus sea bass, roasted chicken and delicious pastas for mains. But it's the sides and desserts that will really blow your mind...
Order the Patatine Al Tartufo (hand-cut truffle fries served in a crispy parmesan basket) from the Antipasti section and don't be surprised if you can't figure out which dish is it when it shows up.
The same can be said for a couple for the desserts; there's no guessing what's inside the Matto Rock but crack into it and you'll find a chocolately mousse with an Angel Delight consistency. Served in a plant pot, the Dammi Un Vaso may resemble a pile of dirt but it's actually a tasty mix of shortbread, meringue, lotus biscuit and berry fruits mousse.
