In need a palette cleansing dessert this summer? Making this mango sorbet at home is easy peasy thanks to Braun's IdentityCollection food processor FP 5150. Just follow the steps below.
- 375g caster sugar
125ml lime juice
Grated zest of 1 lime
6 fresh mangoes (about 1.5 kg)
- Peel the mangos and scrape all the flesh away from the pits. Place the caster sugar, lime zest, lime juice and water in a pan and bring to a boil; simmer for 5 minutes. Skim any froth off the top of the liquid and leave to cool.
- Attach the jug blender attachment to Braun’s IdentityCollection food processor FP 5150. Then place the cooled lime syrup and mango pieces into the jug blender and blend until smooth with the left button of the jug blender program. The jug blender program selects the perfect speed for superior blending results.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and freeze for 3 - 4 hours until firm.
- Take the sorbet out of the freezer and wait 10 minutes before serving so it is easier to spoon out.
