Shrimp Kunafa Is the Ramadan Recipe You Need to Try Now
Ramadan can be an especially tough time if you haven't prepared meals in advance. But if you're caught short when it comes to daily Iftar, fear not. Cooking author and stylist, Assia Othman, has shared recipes using De'Longhi's Multifry Multicooker Extra Chef Plus (AED1,299), which allows you to cook all your favorite foods in one machine. You might usually have a cheesy and syrupy kunafa for dessert but this recipe with a shrimp twist will make a tasty addition to you meal.
Shrimp Kunafa
De'Longhi

Ingredients
- 1kg large shrimps, peeled and deveined with tail on
1kg Kunafa (fresh)
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Vegetable oil
Directions
- Marinate the shrimps with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic & onion powder, olive oil and lemon zest.

Wrap each shrimp with Kunafa with keeping the tail unwrapped, and press it tight to be
glued.

Put the level 5 olive oil amount in the Multifry
Select the Fry function and set the thermostat dial to position 3 for 10 minutes and press the
on/off button. The oil takes one minute to heat.

Squeeze the shrimps and place them in the Multify until golden brown.
- Turn the shrimps to the other side until golden brown, and then serve hot with spicy sauce or
mayonnaise.
