Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi Welcomes Le Petit Chef Video Dining

This Unique Dining Concept Taking Over the World Just Landed in Abu Dhabi

We've heard of Benihana, a dining concept that brings the chef's cooking to your table. But this innovative idea captures the experience of dinner and a show in a totally different way. The Ritz Carlton in Abu Dhabi is hosting Le Petit Chef for the next three months, a concept which allows people to watch how their food is prepared via a video demonstration on their table.

It works by showing an animated projection of a tiny chef throwing ingredients into the fire before the meal is eventually brought to the diner at The Forge restaurant. The whole vision came to life after a painter and a visual artists teamed up five years ago. Since 2015 the way of dining has been introduced to St Petersburg, Hong Kong and Shanghai - but the menu at this UAE outlet sounds especially enticing.

For the starter, a Bouillabaisse is prepared in the middle of the sea, while steak is cooked on a barbeque for the main. Dessert is made in a glacier around the one of three tables that can provide the video experience in the restaurant.

It'll cost you AED195 for this fun with food and it looks like this is becoming a trend all around the world. The W Hotel in London did a similar thing when they invited celebrities to their W Hotel Dubai launch earlier this year.
