By now you've probably heard of bulletproof coffee - the drink which mixes coconut oil and ghee to produce a hot beverage to improve skin, increase mental focus and suppress the appetite.
While it's not the most popular caffeinated drink in the region, one Dubai cafe, Wild & The Moon, has put it on their menu. Coined by David Asprey, he got the idea from Tibetans who used to put yak butter in their tea to help them stay energized for trekking. It's the beverage of choice for those who need endless energy and stars such as Beyonce, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran have even praised it.
The coffee is the only non-vegan offering on their menu of organic, plant-based, gluten-free, zero-additive, cold-pressed and unpasturized food and drink. Other delights they serve up include turning the pulp from leftover juices and nuts into crackers (served with tasty guacamole), plus Acai bowls, Thai curries and much more.
Wild & The Moon has outlets in the UAE and Paris, and they're planning on opening branches in New York too. Check out some of the dishes in the gallery.
