If you think you're exposed to far too many flashy cars when roaming around the streets of Dubai, spare a thought for the people of London. The city has reportedly been overrun by so many supercars from the Middle East this summer that many are being slapped with a fine or towed away.
Still, paying the GBP40-80 (AED190-380) parking fee for these owners probably isn't a problem, as it costs about GBP20,000 (AED95,260) to ship the vehicles from the region to the UK. That's around 20 per cent of the motor's cost in some cases. Why hire a car abroad and miss the comforts of your own whip when you can pay Qatar Airways to bring it to you?
Car enthusiasts from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been spotted parking on some of the city's swankiest streets. It seems where there's a designer store there will be at a least a few expensive vehicles to compliment. Take Sloane Street for example, this video below shows how packed the area is with big money motors.
The only problem is some owners are forgetting about time limits in parking spaces so their prized possessions are getting removed by towing companies. According to the Daily Mail, the Mayfair and Knightsbridge neighborhoods see a rise in Arab car arrivals each year following the Holy Month of Ramadan.
