Dubai residents probably only associate Nol Cards with traveling on the Metro, Tram or buses (plus less frequently the water buses and taxis). But those little plastic passes are about to get so much more useful for every in the Emirate, visitors included.
Soon those silver or gold cards will have a more important place in your wallet as RTA plans on extending the use to more commercial sides. The next time you visit a museum or one of the many upcoming theme parks you could be swiping your Nol or a Smart Nol mobile app for entry, according to Gulf News. The good news is several people won't have to get their own card for these types of transactions, one person can pay for multiple entries.
Dubai has plenty of great cultural offerings for both tourists and residents to look forward to this year. The world's largest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure, is opening with the likes of Marvel and Cartoon Network providing entertainment.
Plus at Dubai Parks and Resorts, there will be four areas (Legoland, Bollywood Land, Riverland and motion gate ) plus the Lapita Hotel welcoming thrill-seekers of all ages, from October.
