Last night a little after 10 p.m. UAE time, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit on the Iran/Iraq border, killing at least 200 people, Khaleej Times reports.
"According to the US Geological Survey, the quake struck at 10:18 p.m., at a depth of 33.9 kilometres. The extent of damage and casualties remains to be seen."
Though the earthquake hit on the Iran/Iraq border, tremors from the quake were felt as far as the Gulf, and residents in the UAE took to Twitter to express their confusion.
Some people thought they were dizzy, while others wondered why their buildings were swaying. See what people had to say.
