Qatar Airways CEO Says Trump's Device Ban is a Waste of Time

Qatar Airways Just Said What We Were All Thinking About the Device Ban

When US President Donald Trump announced that he'd be banning electronic devices larger than a mobile phone on flights from many Middle Eastern countries to the States, many people were outraged. And understandably so…

But regardless of the harsh decision, some people may have been completely baffled altogether and Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker, completely sums up the feelings of more than just a few in his recent interview.

"I didn't think this ban was necessary at all," he tells CNNMoney. "People who want to disrupt aviation will do it from other places where there is no ban.

"If [Trump] continues this way, at the end of the day you will have people sitting in the airplane with underwear and nothing [else] on them."
