Virtually Explore Dubai at DXB Airport
Layover in Dubai? Now You Can Explore the City Without Leaving the Airport
Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest in the world, but it's not necessarily because everyone's choosing the city as their vacation destination.
With it being a gateway between the East and the West, Dubai is home to many layovers meaning the airport is filled with people looking for ways to kill time. Besides the plush lounges, spas and even a hotel to chill out in, DXB has come up with a way to make sure the next time people are in Dubai, they'll leave the airport.
The MyDubaiExperience lets passengers virtually explore the emirate via a digital installation a Terminal 3, Concourse A. At 6 meters high and 4 meters in circumference, you can really miss the LED screens made up of five 360-degree rings and 22 touch screens and seven curved OLED screens.
With eight language options, you can check out the attractions, activities, experiences Dubai has to offer and if you sign up by email, you can even get a personalized two-day itinerary for free. And the dream can really come true because each month, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) will give away a luxury vacation for two to the city each month.
And with plans to install a Photo Booth with the options of fun overlays and filters, perhaps you can convince your friends you did leave the airport after all?
