If you've been putting off getting a breast cancer or cervical cancer screening, there's no excuse anymore...especially if you live in the UAE.

Though it's not Breast Cancer Awareness Month (which is recognized around the world each October), the UAE's Pink Caravan is back, and for the eighth year in a row, the charity is providing free mammogram screenings for all UAE residents.

The annual charity ride begins this year in Sharjah on February 28, and will make its way through all seven emirates throughout the following week, ending in Abu Dhabi on March 6.

It's not your normal charity drive: horseback riders will be trailed by mobile clinics, and at each stop, the Pink Caravan will operate with clinics in hospitals.

Speaking to Gulf News, organizer Dr. Sawsan Al Madhi said, "In total, we have more than 30 clinics operating as part of the campaign.

"There will be one fixed clinic in each emirate, which will continue to offer medical services for 12 days. We also have the special mobile medical clinic accompanying the riders and the mobile medical team working in more than four medical clinics every day. One clinic will be dedicated for male screenings."
