Coffee Bean Staff Praised For Defending Muslim Customer

This Man Made Islamaphobic Comments in a California Coffee Shop, and, Well, Big Mistake

A man was not served at a coffee shop for making racist comments to a niqab-wearing woman. And someone caught it all on video …

The event happened at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in California, and the man, who was standing in front of the woman in line, turned to her and asked, "Is it was Halloween or something?" because of her attire.

When she asked him if he had a problem with the fact that she was Muslim, his response was: "I don't like it, that's why. I don't like your religion, it says to kill me, and I don't want to be killed. How's that?" The woman then asked him if he had read the Quran and he said he had "read enough of it."

The two ended up in a heated back and forth exchange which ends when she seemingly paraphrases Luke 19:27 from the Bible and he walks away from her yelling that he "doesn't want to talk" to her anymore.

The altercation was loud enough to draw the female supervisor out who asked the man to leave. When asked by the veiled woman why she isn't serving him, the supervisor said that he was "disrupting a public place and being very racist."

It comes as Starbucks prepares to close stores across the US for racial bias training, after two black men were arrested for simply waiting at a Philadelphia branch for a friend.

Twitter peeps are praising the Coffee bean supervisor and one coffee shop customer is being hailed too. Check out some of the responses below.
