Despacito Inspires Travelers to Book Puerto Rico Hotels

Stays in This Location Have Seen a Massive Spike Thanks to a Justin Bieber Song

We haven't been able to get the song out of our heads since April and apparently neither can you. Catchy track, "Despacito" the remix of which features Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, seems to have inspired vacations to a certain Caribbean island according to Hotels.com. The website has seen a 45 percent search increase on stays in Puerto Rico and with the lyrics in the track stating, "This is how we do it down in Puerto Rico," is it an surprise pop music fans want to find out?

"Puerto Rico has long been a vacation destination but to many travelers it is still pretty unknown," Isabelle Pinson, Vice President, EMEA at Hotels.com brand said. "We know popular culture has a strong influence on our travel decisions and as Puerto Rico is the home of singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and gets a big shout out in their hit song, it seems to be encouraging more people to explore this great destination."

Right now we're crushing on the 4.5 star Las Casitas Village, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Fajardo (pictured above) which features an enclave of private villas, its own private island and water park, a golf course and spa. Rooms start from AED808.
