What Dubai Will Look Like in 2020 is Going to Knock Your Socks Off
We've already seen just how incredible the Dubai Expo 2020 site will look but these new shots of the area connecting the three pavilions will blow you away. Al Wasl Plaza in Dubai South is a 4.38-square-kilometer site due to open October 2019 and will be surrounded by the Opportunity, Sustainability and Mobility pavilions, which is expected to host millions of people until April 2020.
It makes sense seeing as Al Wasl means "connection" in Arabic and the Expo is all about bringing people together. As well as the UAE Pavilion and Dubai Metro link, the space will also be home to a number of restaurants, parks and fountains.
It's no wonder the new renderings look incredible, it was designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG), the same people behind the Burj Khalifa.
