Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of fires in Dubai.
Beginning with one in Torch Tower, followed by a fire in Marina's Tiger Tower, people in the UAE and abroad have been wondering what's causing these skyscrapers to burn-- especially in the summer months.
Service Market revealed the top three reasons that we're seeing so many fires in Dubai:
Items such as irons and hair straighteners are often the culprits!
Faulty wiring in building:
Electrical sparks caused by faulty wiring can cause serious fires. For this reason, it's important to always hire a reputable and licensed electrical company to do any required maintenance work in your home.
Smoking and barbecues:
This is why barbecues are typically banned on balconies in apartment buildings! If you or one of your family members smoke, then it's important to make sure that the cigarette is put out properly, and never throw it out of the window!
Even though we're aware of the causes of fires in the Emirate, it seems we can't keep them from breaking out.
Earlier this morning, a fire broke out at a construction site in Jumeirah, but as with previous accidents, Dubai Civil Defence responded immediately and no one was injured.
Photos from Dubai Media office reveal images of the fire erupting overnight, and the fire brigade responding quickly to the scene.
The fire is now out and under control, and Dubai Civil Defence is once again being applauded by their swift response.
