This Theme Park Hotel Was Made For Children But Big Kids Will Love It Too
As theme park hotels go we know that Disney has such exciting offerings around the world, you probably won't want to leave the room. So there's plenty to be expected from the accommodation next to the world's biggest theme park, Dubai Parks and Resorts. Serving motiongate, Bollywood Parks and Legoland (the latter is opening its own hotel), Lapita is a Polynesian resort which will make you feel as though you've been whisked away on a tropical vacation.
Staff are unsurprisingly bright and bubbly (let's face it, they have to be with excited little ones running around) but not to the excessive point where it feels like you're staying on a kids' summer camp. The hotel has 504 rooms (including 60 suites and three private villas) but maintains calm by dotting them around into different buildings. They do the same thing by splitting their lagoon style pools into different areas so there's space for everyone to swim around and catch some rays.
Lapita's all-day dining venue, Kalea, is the place to eat dinner, have breakfast or even a weekend brunch. The international food offering is so extensive you won't know where to begin… or end for that matter (their Friday Daycation brunch displays the longest eclair in the world, we dare you to try eating your way through that one). The restaurant narrows nosh down to South Pacific for brunch though, taking place from 1pm-5pm, adults will love their cheeky signs which encourage you to guzzle down their tasty cocktails while the children are taken care of at the Luna and Nova, Kids and Teens Club. Despite the freshly cooked dumping and grilled fruit on offer, we wouldn't be surprised if you'd want to spend a little time with the kids. After getting a quick back and shoulder massage from Ola spa's mobile station, big kids, not us, we promise (okay, it was us), have been known to gatecrash the henna area for young ones.
Post-brunch sundowners are served on their roof terrace bar, Lani, but before devouring your weight in food and drink, you might want to earn those calories in the Mana gym (no excuses, it's open 24/7). As well as the surrounding theme parks, Lapita is also nearby The Outlet Village, which offers discounted brands such as Roberto Cavalli and Hugo Boss.
So despite all three-parks totally being doable in one day, depending on the age range and size of your family of course, there's plenty of reasons to spend at night or two at Lapita.
