Queen Rania Sounds Off on What it Means to be a Great Teacher
Former refugee Hanah Al Hroub won the $1million Global Teacher Prize at the 2nd annual ceremony at Dubai's Atlantis The Palm on Sunday, and the inspirational educator received praise from the likes of Prince William, Matthew McConaughey and Salma Hayek.
While Queen Rania of Jordan wasn't present at the gathering, the royal - who recently spoke at the Global Women's Forum - shared how happy she was for Hanan vie social media.
"Congratulations to @Hanan_Hroub for winning the Global Teacher's Prize. Your dedication to traumatized children is an inspiration to all," she posted on Twitter.
While Hanan's followers are in the 700 region, Rania's post prompted many of her 4.63 million followers to tweet the relatively unknown woman.
