There's a whole lot of fashion, music and food to end in Dubai throughout the month of October, not forgetting Halloween arriving October 31. Here's what's going on in the Emirate for you to enjoy.

1. Go shopping

WAFI Bazaar is back for its third year andy will run every Saturday on the first floor near Marks & Spencer from 10am-8pm. Vendors showcase items that are carefully selected. The unique merchandise includes fashion, art, accessories, handicrafts, children's fashion, and more.

2. Celebrate Oktoberfest

Enjoy a special food and drink menu, including Lowenbrau draught beer and Franziskaner draught beer for just AED35, and dishes such as Apple Strudel, Beef Bouillon, and Chicken Weiner Schnitzel from AED25.

3. Mix it up with Mexican

Soulful Mexican-come-Latin American eatery, cocktail bar and lounge opened last month with Chef Jimmy Rojas Lopez serving up a menu made for fiesta-style sharing. Think tacos and guacamoles plus signature family recipes from the streets of Mexico. Late goers can mingle until 2am in the bar and lounge.

4. Meet a music star

Maher Zain will be holding a meet and greet at Virgin Megastore to promote his new album, One. The Swedish singer-songwriter and music producer of Lebanese origin, is one of the biggest names in the Islamic Music genre. He has released a total of three albums featuring tracks in both English and Arabic. With more that 26 million fans, Maher is the biggest Arab Muslim artist on Facebook.

5. Go back to Klass

Duo K-Klass will be spinning some of their classic old school tunes including "Let Me Show You" and "Rhythm is a Mystery." They've had five UK top 40 h its and a Grammy Nomination too. Combined with a remix list featuring the likes of Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Lisa Stansfield, New Order, Bobby Brown and Rihanna, it's sure to be a fun night out.

6. Bag a cheap vacation with the family

For AED1,004 the brand new Westin Hotel in Al Habtoor City is offering weekend accommodation for two nights and three days for up to two adults and two children. Included are activities for little ones, fitness classes and meals.

7. Enjoy a night at the Opera

8. Listen to a megastar DJ

Legendary German DJ and producer Paul Van Dyk returns to Zero Gravity. With more than 20 years in the music industry under his belt the Grammy-nominated musician's One Big Friday appearance will include supporting sets from Dutch brothers DubVision (who recently remixed 'The Girl Is Mine' – a mash-up of Destiny's Child's "Girl" and "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica) and 99 Souls.

9. Whip up a storm in the kitchen

This is the second in our four-part master class series with Chef Alessandro Salvatico. The second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia has coastal influences defining its unique cuisine. Don an apron for four hours where you'll cook a three-course menu featuring a traditional artichoke salad, fregola matecata with truffle and shrimp, and roasted seabass served with olives and marjoram, for lunch. "Gangsta's Paradise" hitmaker Coolio will appear at Barasti's 21st birthday party. The famous Dubai beach bar will be serving at drinks at AED21 until 9pm and there will be major prizes to win throughout the month to celebrate.

15. See the twinkling night skyline

Yellow Boats Night Tours will run from Marina Walk in Dubai at 6pm for a 90-minute trip around the Palm Jumeirah. Check out sites including the iconic Burj Al Arab while interactive commentary is provided. Of course there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures.

16. Listen to The Voice

Filipino music star Bamboo will be performing to promote his second album, "Bless the Mess". The musician is a coach and mentor on The Voice and The Voice Kids in his home country. At 38 years old he has been a music icon in the Philippines for more than 20 years.

17. Get your Cosplay on

PopCon is coming to Dubai for the first time and is expected to be the largest pop-culture festival of its kind globally. The convention will take place inside comes from 117 Live, the same people who are bringing Zayn Malik, Selena Gomez and Elton John to the UAE later this year.

18. Hit the beach

Will Smith former Fresh Prince of Bel Air co-star Jazzy Jeff plays a gig at Barasti Beach Bar. Make sure to don your costume to the casual outdoor venue and prepare to dance on the sand.
