The Twittersphere Unites in Support For Istanbul
The Twittersphere has come together to condemn a triple suicide bombing and gun attack at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Tuesday. Approximately 36 people were killed and 147 injured, according to Emirates 24/7, in a blast that was the worst one of four in Turkey this year so far.
The country's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim believes the attack was carried out by the Islamic State group, Daesh, and the claim has moved many tweeters to point out that terrorism has no religion. Those sharing their thoughts on social media have also expressed how saddened they are as terrorist attacks continue around the globe, but clearly agreed that the world needs to stand together.
Read on to see how Twitter users are uniting in this dark time for Istanbul.
