UAE Named Happiest Place in the GCC and Middle East
How Happy is the UAE?
After the Minister of Happiness, Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, was announced in February, it turns out the UAE has actually been one of the happiest countries in the region for the last two years.
In a cabinet reshuffle she was one of eight women to get ministerial roles, and her focus has been promote the welfare of people in the country as well as making sure legislation adds value to the standard of living.
Now it has been revealed the United Arab Emirates has ranked 28th position on the World happiness Report Update 2016 for (2013-2015), with the likes of Saudi Arabia in 34th position, Qatar 36th, Kuwait 41st and Bahrain 42nd.
Quite noticeably the countries ranked higher than France (32) Spain (37) and Italy (50) plus some other countries that have recently experienced financial troubles. Meanwhile the people of the UAE seem happy with their constantly sunny climate and tax-free wages.
The report included 157 countries with Jordan charting at 80, Egypt 120, Afghanistan 154 and Syria 156.
