So Joanna Gaines Is "Open" to Having More Kids — and the Reason Is So Endearing

As far as we can tell, the slogan "the more the merrier" definitely applies to the Gaines family. The soon-to-be mother of five and Magnolia Cookbook author admits she's not quite ready to throw in the towel when it comes to having more children.

"I joke with my friends that I'm going to be that 45-year-old who's pregnant," she said in an interview with People. "Chip is such a kid at heart and we both love a big family. I'm open to whatever. I'm just having fun with it."

As for handling the day-to-day challenges that come with having a large family? Joanna admits she's already a seasoned pro.

"I had four kids ages 4 and under. There were so many diapers and it was chaos. Those years just flew because there was so much happening in the moment," she said, adding that, "I feel like I can really take this one in and relish these moments."
