Turkish Airlines Cabin Crew Delivers Baby Mid-Flight

Turkish Airline Crew One-Ups the Stork and Delivered a Baby Mid-Flight

An airline cabin crew just one-upped the stork with its successful delivery of a baby born mid-flight. Nafi Diaby was 28 weeks pregnant when she boarded the Turkish Airlines flight, and complained of labor pains as the plane flew over Africa between the Guinean capital, Conarky and Ougadougosu in Burkina Faso. After laying Diaby across the seats, the crew assisted the mom in delivering her baby girl.

Baby Kadiju was swaddled with an in-flight blanket as her mom rested, then got her first lessons in selfie-taking with members of the excited cabin crew. Upon arrival in the Burkina Faso capital both were taken to the hospital and are reportedly in good health, according to Turkish Airlines.
