How to Be One of First in World to Get iPhone 7 in UAE

Be One of the First in the World to Get the New iPhone in the UAE

After last week's Apple announcement, it's fair to say the whole world is excited about the impending launch of the iPhones 7 and 7s as well as the Apple Watch Series 2. But for the first time in well, forever, the brand is making the new products available at the same time as the rest of the world in the UAE.

While the country and the rest of the Middle Eastern region has had to wait until a couple of weeks after the likes of the US and UK with previous releases, from this weekend all that is about to change. Technology fans will have to get themselves down to the Apple Store in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates to September 17 at 8am when the doors fly open to sell the latest releases.

Judging by the crowds that turned up to the store's launch in October 2015 - when there weren't even any new products to buy - this event is going to get hectic, so you might want to consider pitching a tent! Last year also saw the opening of an Abu Dhabi store, but fans in the capital will have to make a day trip to the other Emirate's Al Barsha neighborhood if they want to get a slice of the madness.

The likes of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait will have to wait until September 23 to get their hands on the fresh offerings. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at AED2,599, and the new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models from Apple.com, Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers.

"iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dramatically improve every aspect of the iPhone experience, reaching a new level of innovation and precision to make this the best iPhone we have ever made," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. "The completely redesigned cameras shoot incredible photos and videos day or night, the A10 Fusion chip is the most powerful chip on any smartphone while delivering the best battery life ever in an iPhone, and an entirely new stereo speaker system provides twice the sound, all within the first water and dust resistant iPhone."

Apple Watch Series 2 will be available in gold, rose gold, silver or space gray aluminum, or silver or space black stainless steel cases paired with a wide variety of bands starting at AED1,499.

"We're thrilled with the response to Apple Watch and how it's changed people's lives. We are committed to fitness and health and think our customers will love the new capabilities of Apple Watch Series 2," said Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer. "With a powerful new dual-core processor, water resistance 50 meters and built-in GPS, Apple Watch Series 2 is packed with features to help our customers live a healthy life."
